Apart from getting your students to think you are cool for owning an iPod, there are other ways for it to be put to good use. From foreign language class, to music class, to even art history and more, the iPod is making a big hit in the classroom.

So, you are a student sitting in music class, and all of a sudden instead of your teacher putting on a song in an old music player, they connect an iPod to their computer and out plays Beethovens 5th Symphony. Using your iPod is great for any music class.

The iPod allows you to store and keep all your music in one easy place and lets you set up pre-determined playlists, and is very portable for anyone. The iPod is an easy way to get your students to listen to your music selections, and with the ease of iPod music upload anyone is able to do it.

Maybe you are not a music teacher; maybe you have a foreign language class that is in need of something updated and fun. Using your iPod to play podcasts in foreign languages is simple. Or, you can always make your own podcast to play if you plan on being out one day. Knowing a foreign language is now a more and more important thing to know and having a new and exciting way to learn one is always going to be easier for the students.

Perhaps one of the most useful things a teacher can use in a classroom is podcasts. A teacher can easily search for podcasts relevant to the daily classroom discussion or lecture. Did you know even the Supreme Court has podcasts? You are now able to listen to the deliberations of the Justices when you in the classroom!

The popularity of the iPod has reached a new, higher level when the Supreme Court is using them. Recently, the teacher of a government class I am taking surprised us all when she started playing a podcast of the daily Supreme Court deliberations. It got all of our attention, to say the least. Most people in the United States have never heard the Supreme Court deliberate, and the iPod helps bring something new to listeners all over the world.

Maybe you are an art history teacher, or maybe you just need to show a photo slideshow in class. An iPod is an easy way to store the photos you need and in a specific order that you are able to use it in a classroom setting. The iPod is a very portable device and by storing your photos for the classroom on it, it is simple to bring them in and share with your students.

Now, if you are lucky enough to teach in a school with a seemingly endless budget, then you could be able to buy iPods for your students that already have all the forms and documents that they will need for your class. This allows the student to keep everything they need for the classroom in one easy place. Now, if you are like most of us and money is limited then just using your own iPod to store all of your documents and files for the class is an easy way to keep it all in one place and will cut down on the time and stress it takes looking for them.

These are just some of the many ideas that you can use in the classroom. There are many, many more. The iPod is becoming a popular thing to own, for students and teachers alike. Owning an iPod opens up many possibilities that you might not otherwise have. From podcasts, to photo slideshows, to music lessons, the iPod is making an appearance in classrooms all over the world. Its as if the iPod is taking over the world, but it is good to know that you can use the iPod for educational purposes and not just for entertainment purposes.

Promotional Videos–Include a corporate image video (on DVD, CD-ROM, on-line, or on videocassette) in your sales materials and presentations. Optimal length is approximately 4 to 7 minutes.

Employee Training and Orientation Videos–Use video to explain all the standard procedures and responsibilities involved with different processes, positions and your organization. Approximately 5-20 minutes.

Product Training Videos–Offer a reference for your customers to refer to when using your products. Approximately 5-20 minutes.

Point of Purchase and Trade Show Displays—Increase point-of-purchase sales in retail stores, at trade shows and other locations where customers are making their purchasing decisions with an attention grabbing video. Approximately 2 to 4 minutes of looping video.

Events and Seminars–Capture your event or seminar on video! We can provide you with single or multiple camera production services, depending on your needs.

Or you can show video at your events. Nothing mixes it up and creates a ‘mental break’ like video. At your next convention or event, you can have a looping video projected on a large screen that will display the information or message you wish to project (no pun intended!)

Or if you’re giving a seminar or other presentation, people appreciate an entertaining, informative multimedia or video presentation as a change of pace.

Television Commercials–Produce creative spots for cable and network television, posted on your website, or emailed to current or prospective clients. They should generally be 30 seconds in duration. However, a 60 second spot can also be effective.

Video News Release – This is a press release in video form. It is generally a 90-second video piece that is paid for by corporate sponsors and then distributed, via satellite or mail, to stations around the country to be included in local newscasts. They are, in effect, paid advertisements in a news format. When they are well made, it is almost impossible to distinguish them from a regular news segment. Fortune 500 companies create them to inform the public about their latest product research. And, in the last decade, a growing number of small companies have begun to use them as an effective public relations tool.

E-commercials – Break into the booming market of internet video advertising. Capture someone’s attention with a commercial on the Internet. These can be posted on your website, emailed to current or prospective clients, or posted on other websites for a fee. Generally 30 seconds. Occasionally 60 seconds.

Podcasting – Podcasting is yet another vehicle that people are using to send information out to people and promote their products. As defined by Wikopedia, a podcast is a digital media file (or a series of such files) that is distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds, for playback on portable media players and personal computers. Like ‘radio’, it can mean either the content itself or the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also termed podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster.

Podcasts can be downloadable from your website and listened to at any time. You can instantly establish yourself as an authority (and possible a vendor) for a variety of topics and needs.

High Definition – If it has to be dramatic and the best quality, then High Definition (HD) is the way to go. The image quality rivals film, yet HD is much less expensive. Within the next one to two years, everyone will be using HD. Why not get a head start on the crowd and differentiate yourself from the pack? There are different ‘flavors’ of HD out there, so you may want to consult with an expert (such as Video One!) to discuss which type is appropriate for your needs.

If you’ve been on the internet for a while, you’ve no doubt come across new words, whose meaning may have baffled you. It’s difficult to keep up with the latest computer and internet lingo, but here are a few of the new commonly used terms on the internet today.

Affiliate Program
This is a program where a person (an affiliate) is paid a commission to advertise a particular product, service or web site. The affiliate is given a special link to refer customers to the target web site. The company pays commission based on hits and/or sales from these links. The amount of commission paid varies. Most programs pay for sales; some programs pay for clicks on their site. Some programs even pay for finding new affiliates.

Avatar
An icon or graphic that represents you on message boards, chat rooms, IM programs, 3-D chat rooms and virtual worlds. Your avatar can be whatever you want it to be. There are graphic elements, animals, cartoons and pictures used as avatars on the Internet.

Blog
A blog is a Web site, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse – chronological order.

Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketches (sketchblog), videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting), which are part of a wider network of social media. Breadcrumb
A breadcrumb or breadcrumb trail is the part of the navigation that shows you where you are. Breadcrumb trails are often found near the top of Web pages and define both the current location within the site hierarchy as well as primary pages above the current page.

Cookie
A message given to a Web browser by a Web server. The browser stores the message in a text file. The message is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server.

The main purpose of cookies is to identify users and possibly prepare customized Web pages for them. When you enter a Web site using cookies, you may be asked to fill out a form providing such information as your name and interests. This information is packaged into a cookie and sent to your Web browser which stores it for later use. The next time you go to the same Web site, your browser will send the cookie to the Web server. The server can use this information to present you with custom Web pages. So, for example, instead of seeing just a generic welcome page you might see a welcome page with your name on it.

Deep Linking
This is when you link to a page other than the homepage of a website.

Pay Per Click Advertising
Pay Per Click Advertising, or PPC, is an online advertising payment model in which the payment is based on the number of “clicks” that are generated. PPC can also be called “cost per click.”

As an advertiser, here’s how it works. You bid for certain keywords that are related to the content of your site (the information or products that you offer). When a user searches with these keywords in a search engine, they are shown your listing, as well as others that are bidding on the same keywords. If the user clicks on your listing, you pay the amount that you have bid. The highest bidding advertisers will appear first in the search results, and the subsequent listings are ranked by the amount of their bid.

Bids for keywords can be anything from a few cents to a few dollars per click. Part of managing a PPC advertising campaign well is determining how much needs to be spent per click in order to get a good balance between visibility (your listing showing on the first page of the search results) and the advertising budget.

Podcast
A podcast is a series of digital-media files, which are distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds for playback on portable media players and computers. The term podcast, like broadcast, can refer either to the series of content itself or to the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also called podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster.

RSS
RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication”. It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes content to a wide number of people. It is used by computer programs that organize those headlines and notices for easy reading.

Search Engine Optimisation
This is the method of optimizing your website content, meta tags, linking structure, etc. in order to ensure good website rankings.

Social Bookmarking
Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to store, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web pages on the Internet with the help of metadata.

In a social bookmarking system, users save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public, and can be saved privately, shared only with specified people or groups, shared only inside certain networks, or another combination of public and private domains. The allowed people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, or via a search engine.

Most social bookmark services encourage users to organize their bookmarks with informal tags instead of the traditional browser-based system of folders, although some services feature categories/folders or a combination of folders and tags. They also enable viewing bookmarks associated with a chosen tag, and include information about the number of users who have bookmarked them. Some social bookmarking services also draw inferences from the relationship of tags to create clusters of tags or bookmarks.

Social Networking
Social Networking means exactly the same thing online as it does offline. It is a social structure made up of relationships and links, whether strong or weak, to people we have something in common with. Apply this to the web and you have a series of websites where people gather to interact with other like-minded individuals. Just like offline social networking people are given a forum where they have the opportunity to meet others in a familiar environment, to chat, participate in events, combine temporarily to form sub-networks, create private networks or interact in public networks.

Wiki
A term meaning “quick” in Hawaiian, that is used for technology that gathers in one place a number of web pages focused on a theme, project, or collaboration. Wikis are generally used when users or group members are invited to develop, contribute, and update the content of the wiki. Wikis can be passworded in various ways to control or allow contributions. The most famous wiki is the Wikipedia.

The recent growth of Social Networking online has been seen in the proliferation of sites such as MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Bebo, Flickr, Friends Reunited being among the more well known ones.

So to some, it may beg the question why now? Why, a year later, is Kanye West apologizing to Taylor Swift? Is he hustling hard because his new album, tentatively titled Dark Twisted Fantasy, is potentially due out November 2010? Because he’ll be returning to the scene of the crime, so to speak, when he performs live at the 2010 MTV VMAs? Why wait a year to apologize, and why do it over Twitter?

It’s clear by reading his Twitter that Kanye’s taken a good, hard look at himself. Kanye himself Tweeted that he’d acted like a child: “Yes I was that guy. A 32 year old child… When I woke up from the crazy nightmare I looked in the mirror and said GROW UP KANYE … I take the responsibility for my actions… I am not a bad person. Even in that moment I was only trying to do good but people don’t always need my help… Beyonce didn’t need that. MTV didn’t need that and Taylor and her family friends and fans definitely didn’t want or need that.”

As anyone who’s made a mistake and learned from it will tell you, personal growth is, as Kanye himself might say, a process. But what do you think about Kanye’s confession and apologies? The 2010 MTV VMAs are eight days away. Here at MTV HQ, we’re swarming around busier than a hive of bees on a strict honey-making deadline. But we’re not the only busy ones. Kanye West, who will be performing at the 2010 MTV VMAs, took to his Twitter this morning, in what appeared to be a truth serum-induced honest tour. And man was he busy confessing. And busy apologizing.

A year after bumrushing Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMAs, sabotaging her VMA win, and becoming the most famous interrupter since the Kool-Aid man, Kanye West fired up his Twitter, turned it into a confession booth and a therapist’s couch, ending his stream-of-consciousness with a three-word apology: “I’m sorry Taylor.”

Kanye started his Twitter bender, which ranged from almost self-flagellatting — referring to “the massacre of Kanye” to self-aggrandizing — “I want to win there hearts back so I can continue to bring my take on culture to the masses with a clean opinion” – just after dropping a new song, “Devil In A New Dress.” In case you missed it, it began…

“Man I love Twitter… I’ve always been at the mercy of the press but no more… The media tried to demonize me… They wanted yall to believe I was a monster in real life so you guys wouldn’t listen or buy my music anymore… I feel like they were waiting for the opportunity to go in all the way on me and when it came they beat me to a pulp… Even now a lot of articles start there first 2 paragraphs about how much of an a–hole I am”

Kanye then paused to wish Beyonce a happy birthday, Tweeting, “Happy B day to sister B … I gotta dope ass gift for you.”

Kanye then tackled issues of race referring to his 2005 outburst during NBC’s live benefit concert for Hurricane Katrina relief:

“Some people’s truth is Kanye is racist… It’s not my truth but I do believe it’s my Karma…. walk with me…”

Continuing on about the NBC telethon, Kanye gave us a closer look at the fallout from that outburst:
“Even though the NBC telethon was widely praised yall didn’t think they was just gone let me get away with that did yall???!!! … With the help of strong will, a lack of impathy, a lil alcohol and extremely distasteful & bad timing … I became George Bush over night … How deep is the scar… I bled hard.. cancelled tour with the number one pop star in the world … closed the doors of my clothing office … Had to let employees go… for the first time I felt the impact of my brash actions … I felt the recession from an ownership side … People booed when I would go to concerts and the performer mentioned my name …”

Bringing a little levity to the emotional Tweetspree, Kanye referenced Will Ferrell: “Remember in Anchor Man when Ron Burgandy cursed on air and the entire city turned on him? But this wasn’t a joke. This was & is my real life”

And then he quickly came back to the matter at hand: himself. “There are people who don’t dislike me… they absolutely hate me!… That’s when you realize perception is reality. I’ve been straying from this subject on twitter but I have to give it to you guys raw now… If you google A–hole my face may very well pop up 2 pages into the search.”

Kanye then brought it back to art: “I have a mission in life to bring truth and beauty through my music and the visuals that anchor around it,” and then quickly steered the ship back to his own crucifixion: “The media has successfully diminished the “receptive” audience of (3rd person)… KANYE WEST… taking a 15 second blip the mdeia have successfully painted the image of the “ANGRY BLACK MAN’ The King Kong theory.”

Kanye continued to confront the hate: “People tweeted that they wish I was dead… No listen. They wanted me to die people. I carry that. I smile and take pictures through that about … I wear my scars… It’s almost like I have to where a suit to juxtapose my image and I won’t lie… IT WORKS!”

Finally, Kanye brought up the Taylor Swift incident, claiming “I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that’s so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she won’t take it then I’ll perform it for her about She had nothing to do with my issues with award shows. She had no idea what hit her. She’s justa lil girl with dreams like the rest of us. She deserves the apology more than anyone.

Once again, Kanye paused, this time to thank the creators of Twitter: “Thank you Biz Stone and Evan Williams for creating a platform where we can communicate directlyWe’re both artist and the media and managers are trying to get between us. Everyone wants to capitalize off this is some way about I’m ready to get out of my own way. The ego is overdone… it’s like hoodies… I am responsible for those who love and represent me and what they have to deal with on a day to day defending “The American Psycho… It’s not about race America. No one in our position ever stands up and says anything anymore.”

Kanye then referenced the Broadway hit, “Wicked,” possibly to the delight of Glee fans everywhere:
Who’s seen the play Wicked? I’ve seen it 4 times! Other than loving the music acting and costumes… it’s my story!!! ..  The Wicked witch of the west basically is so convicted to tell her’ truth when she does it she is outcasted by society and turned WICKED …

That’s when Kanye turned into Mr. Manners and basically told himself about himself: “With new found humility … who am I to run on stage? I would never ever again in a million years do that. Sorry to let you down… It is distasteful to cut people off as a general rule. What’s the point of dressing tastefully if I’m going to act the complete opposite? Yes I was that guy. A 32 year old child… When I woke up from the crazy nightmare I looked in the mirror and said GROW UP KANYE … I take the responsibility for my actions… I am not a bad person. Even in that moment I was only trying to do good but people don’t always need my help… Beyonce didn’t need that. MTV didn’t need that and Taylor and her family friends and fans definitely didn’t want or need that.”

After a prolonged one-way conversation, Kanye finally got to the heart of his very public soul searching: “I’ve hurt, I’ve bled, I’ve learned. I only want to do good. I am passionate I am human I am real. I wish I could meet every hater … I wish I could talk to every hater face to face and change there a opinion of me one conversation at a time. … I wish they all knew how much I really cared about music and pop culture and art and peoples feelings… I wish they could accept that I’ve grown and only want to do good for the world. I want to help as many people as I can… I want to help starting with the music and ending with the smile… I want to win there hearts back so I can continue to bring my take on culture to the masses with a clean opinion…”

And then this: “It starts with this… I’m sorry Taylor.”

Wow. Heavy stuff for a Saturday morning lots of us normally spend watching reruns.

Taylor Swift has yet to Tweet back a response (though we can’t blame her — it’s a lot to take in).

Kanye then referenced the Broadway hit, “Wicked,” possibly to the delight of Glee fans everywhere:
Who’s seen the play Wicked? I’ve seen it 4 times! Other than loving the music acting and costumes… it’s my story!!! ..  The Wicked witch of the west basically is so convicted to tell her’ truth when she does it she is outcasted by society and turned WICKED …

That’s when Kanye turned into Mr. Manners and basically told himself about himself: “With new found humility … who am I to run on stage? I would never ever again in a million years do that. Sorry to let you down… It is distasteful to cut people off as a general rule. What’s the point of dressing tastefully if I’m going to act the complete opposite? Yes I was that guy. A 32 year old child… When I woke up from the crazy nightmare I looked in the mirror and said GROW UP KANYE … I take the responsibility for my actions… I am not a bad person. Even in that moment I was only trying to do good but people don’t always need my help… Beyonce didn’t need that. MTV didn’t need that and Taylor and her family friends and fans definitely didn’t want or need that.”

After a prolonged one-way conversation, Kanye finally got to the heart of his very public soul searching: “I’ve hurt, I’ve bled, I’ve learned. I only want to do good. I am passionate I am human I am real. I wish I could meet every hater … I wish I could talk to every hater face to face and change there a opinion of me one conversation at a time. … I wish they all knew how much I really cared about music and pop culture and art and peoples feelings… I wish they could accept that I’ve grown and only want to do good for the world. I want to help as many people as I can… I want to help starting with the music and ending with the smile… I want to win there hearts back so I can continue to bring my take on culture to the masses with a clean opinion…”

And then this: “It starts with this… I’m sorry Taylor.”

Wow. Heavy stuff for a Saturday morning lots of us normally spend watching reruns.

Taylor Swift has yet to Tweet back a response (though we can’t blame her — it’s a lot to take in).

Then I looked more closely at Wordpress and discovered that I couldn’t just load and go. I dug around and came across a number of articles referring to Wordpress plugins such as Cool Player and Anarchy Media Player. I didn’t feel like setting up yet another plug in, with the attendant danger of the software becoming unsupported and so on (lorelle’s Wordpress blog was very informative).

I’d just posted a podcast on Podbean and wondered whether I could make use of that. Then I worked out how to do it.

Here’s how:

1. Open your Podbean account and locate your podcast under the My Dashboard/Manage tab.

2. Below the ‘Play Now’ buttons you should see the rectangular Audio MP3 button. Alongside this is a list of options underlined with dashes.

3. Click the ‘Embeddable Player’ option and copy (ctrl+c) the script code in the box. There is currently a choice of only two button colours. I had a look at the html code and couldn’t see a quick way to change the button theme colours.

3. OK, create your post in your Wordpress blog, with some suitable introductory text – just a brief summary of what is in the Podcast. Alternatively, my preference is to include the full text of the article/post and offer the Audio option:

‘In a hurry? No time to read this great post? Hit the Podbean button and listen in while you do something else!’

4. Then, paste in the Podbean script where you want it in your post(make sure that you have the html view of the post). I prefer to put it at the beginning, as you don’t want people to read your post and then find out that they could have listened to it (though it does depend on content – whether it is pure entertainment or informational).

That’s it – just publish/update your Wordpress post and the button is live.

The great thing is that the button goes out on the blog’s RSS feed and is accessible on the feedreader (I use feedburner, so I have not tested any others) – the button diplayed properly, and worked as it should have.

This technique also works on blogger.

So, that’s all there is to it, looks good, works good, but doesn’t always fit the theme colours!

Podcasts can be ready in mere minutes after the completion of the live teleseminar. It is a question of how much editing you want to do. The fortunate thing is that Internet audiences tend to be more forgiving regarding teleseminars. They are hungry for great content rather than a studio quality recording.

Teleseminars are highly versatile. Regardless of the business you are in you can leverage the value of teleseminars. Just think of them as a means of delivering an audio message to your staff and or clients. Then decide what information you are going to share with them.

Some examples of the many uses of teleseminars include:

1. Announcing Product launches,

2. Selling products,

3. Publicising events,

4. Promoting books,

5. Training staff,

6. Training affiliates, and

7. Fundraising.

Plus, with teleseminars you have the benefit of being able to deliver your message to a global rather than local audience.

Podcasting is an ideal solution for long teleseminars. Jay Abraham and Alex Mandossian are examples of Internet marketers who sometimes host long teleseminars. It is a challenge for individuals to maintain focused concentration for hours on end, irrespective of how riveting the material is. Also, some people cannot afford to put their life on hold or take the time off work to listen to a live teleseminar that is over two hours or even over 4 hours long. However, if you save your teleseminar as a podcast that subscribers can download to their iPod, then people can listen to your material in bite-sized chunks.

And there is another advantage to podcasting your teleseminars. You can create a single podcast for the entire presentation or you can divide the teleseminar into segments. This can make it easier to download and easier to listen to especially if a presentation is over an hour. The teleseminar can be simply divided at logical or natural breaks in the presentation so that when played sequentially it flows seamlessly.

Alternatively, the podcasts can be branded separately and you can do a recap of the material in the former podcast so that each mini-podcast is a stand-alone product. This can then be used as a teaser especially if you want to sell the teleseminar rather than offer it as a free download.

Many presenters have products consisting of numerous CDs but they are relatively bulky and can become scratched. Avid learners soon start to run out of room to store the many programs they have purchased. Making your teleseminars available as downloadable as MP3 and MP4s which can be downloaded onto a device that can fit into the palm of your hand or your pocket saves space and makes your content easy to consume.

In his dramatic promo spot, Eminem, wearing a blood-red jacket, spills out of a decidedly wrecked car onto a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. The fallen star imagery is clear? The car explodes seconds later. Good thing Em got out. He pulls himself together, dusts himself off, and drags himself, limping and bruised, to what appears to be another Eminem. This is a hero’s story, and Eminem’s VMA promo is a metaphor for his musical journey and his personal one. He’s on his way back to himself, and the message here is clear: Eminem is unshakable and unstoppable. This is the fall and rise of Eminem.

And speaking of heroes, Eminem is poised to be one of the heroes of the 2010 MTV VMAs, with 8 VMA nominations and a live performance that couldn’t possibly be anything but legendary.

Twitter is a great way to keep up with your friends, keep up with breaking news and keep your pun game tight. But it also has a downside, especially for celebs who insist on using it as a constantly updating, stream-of-consciousness look at the inner-workings (or derailingss) of their mind.

There really ought to be a squad of Twitter Cops who go can intercept celebs when they’re about to make an ill-timed or ill-advised tweet, telling them in a cool, calm voice: “Back away from Twitter, put the Blackberry down. It’s gonna be alright.”

So without further ado, here are 5 celebs who might want to think twice before hitting send on their next missive.

1.) Tameka “Tiny” Cottle: T.I.’s long-time girlfriend and now wife usually tweets pretty innocuous stuff, like, “On the plane headed 2 Vega$$$.” But she might want to think twice about tweeting after she and her on-probation husband get busted on drug possession charges. Tiny! You got the right to remain silent! Exercise it!

2.) 50 Cent: Curtis’ Tweets have been super entertaining, if occasionally a little aggro. But last time I checked a couple of bullet holes and a few platinum albums do not equal a law degree. So with that in mind, Fiddy, maybe don’t advise Tiny to take the blame for her husband?

3.) Paris Hilton: The tweets may lie, but TMZ, in this case, does not. The other night, Paris Hilton was somehow in bed, watching “Family Guy.” I say “somehow,” because she was simultaneously being arrested for drug possession in Vegas. This could be a classic example of what happens when you have your assistants tweet for you but don’t mention to them that you’ve been arrested. Paris has since used Twitter to proclaim her innocence.

4.) Chris Brown: Subtly throwing shots at his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna? Check. Getting into beef with Soulja Boy? Check. Ranting at music retailers? Check. Chris Brown and Twitter need couples therapy.

5.) Lindsay Lohan: Sadly, Lindsay’s Twitter account might be a rather accurate representation of where she’s at her in life, literally and figuratively. In the course of three tweets, a pre-rehab Lohan alerted people to a fashion website, thanked someone for assisting her in her fight against draconian child labor practices and took a shot at her father. She’s been pretty mellow since getting out of rehab. Let’s hope it stays that way (for her sake).

… And for the record, the celebrity who should NEVER take a Twitter break is Kanye West. Obvz.

It’s going to be crazy.”

Two people whose lips are decidedly not sealed are the mouthy dudes with Kim on the cover of Hong Kong’s Prestige magazine. Kim is rocking a pretty incredibly spiked metal dress by The Blonds (who have done some incredible work with Lady Gaga). She had blogged about the dangerous-looking dress a couple of weeks back. Paired with some downright dazzling Louboutins, you had to know something daring was coming.

And you could certainly call the above magazine cover daring. Will Kim will bring some of that devil-may-care attitude — and maybe even some of her naked friends — to the 2010 MTV VMAs? Guess we have to wait and see…

Well, today we have The Ready Set kicking out the jams at that very same show with their single, “Love Like Woe,” and we don’t have to marvel; this is track was made for stadium singing.

Jordan Witzigreuter and his band soak up all the attention and screaming passion of the fans in attendance and pay it back with a great run through their most well-known song. Special props, in particular, to Witzigreuter for his handling of the high parts on “Love Like Woe”’s verses; he maneuvers expertly through the slightly ragga-ish parts after running himself ragged during the chorus. That’s endurance!

Lady Gaga and Marc Jacobs cover V Magazine’s “I Love New York” September issue in a combination of Manhattan muse, model and music. Lady Gaga’s dressed as a thoroughly modern interpretation of the Statue Of Liberty, wearing a black lace bra and black lace underwear with a crown made of hair (love that look!), a tulle gown around her waist and an en fuego parchment torch that looks mysteriously like… well… you know. Oh, and naturally Gaga, styled by Nicola Formichetti, is sitting in a shopping cart with Marc Jacobs at her side, calmly looking away, probably dreaming up his 2012 collection. The iconic V logo? It’s made of gum, courtesy of artist Dan Colen.

This isn’t the first time Lady Gaga’s been next-to-naked in the presence of Marc Jacobs. She performed live at Marc’s Fashion Week afterparty last year in a see-through red lace bodysuit.

Step 4: Click podcasts on the left.

Step 5: Scroll to the bottom on the left and you’ll see “submit podcast.”

Step 6: Enter the RSS feed URL your podcast is on.

If you use a Wordpress blog, you’ll already have an RSS feed. All you do is copy the URL and paste it into the space provided. I tried the Atom feed URL created by Blogger and it seemed to work fine also.

It’s that simple and easy!

Really, a lot of people use iTunes. It’s free to put your podcasts or audios on there. Why wouldn’t you? It doesn’t take much time at all. Now, you have to save your audio in the right format but the new software programs make this easy.

The other issue with podcasts is recording one to begin with.

You need a computer, a mike and software.

Some people create podcasts using a headset with a mike. To start with, that’s fine. Later, you’ll want to invest a full-blown solution. This will probably cost you $500 total for a mike, mike stand and USB audio capture sound card.

The sound cards that come built into computers aren’t high quality and will produce noise on the recording. The USB external sound card plugs right into your computer. And you plug the mike into it. Presto. Chango! You have a great sound.

For software, a lot of people on Mac computers start with Garage Band. On PC’s, most podcasters use the free Audacity software, although Sound Forge is an excellent paid alternative.
